What is STP?
The Small Business Transition Program is built around the hardest part of SBIR: moving from successful R&D to real adoption. Participants receive support that can include commercialization planning, presentation coaching, market research, and exposure to Navy stakeholders.
For startups, STP is valuable because it forces the company to translate technical progress into a transition narrative. That discipline matters when the goal is a Phase III contract, prime partnership, or production program.
