Capability Statement
A concise document that explains what a company does, which government needs it serves, and why it is qualified to perform.
What is Capability Statement?
A capability statement is often the first artifact a government stakeholder or prime contractor sees. It should include core competencies, differentiators, past performance, NAICS codes, UEI/CAGE details, contact information, and relevant contract vehicles or certifications.
Startups should avoid generic pitch-deck language. A strong capability statement is written for a contracting or program audience and makes the company easy to categorize, evaluate, and remember.
